Student Internship Program

New Moon Opera is excited to announce its new Student Internship Program.  This volunteer program will be open to students entering 9th through 12th grades (though some exceptions may be made).   The goal of the Internship Program is to provide an immersive, on-site learning experience to students who are considering entering the fields of music business, music education, or vocal performance.

Student interns will have the opportunity to observe a professional opera company, and may possibly shadow one of our company members.  Students may be selected to perform in one of our company productions or concerts, and they may choose to perform in a master class held at the end of the season.

As a member of the program, students will be involved in the various aspects of a production, both in front and back of stage.  Some of the tasks a student intern may take on include ticket sales, marketing, photography, makeup, set building, and prop master.

We believe the knowledge and experience gained from the program will give students an excellent jump start for their school productions, college auditions, and post-school performance work. Should you have any questions, please contact General Director Mallory Harding at newmoonopera@gmail.com.
